Imbindas, should it be a wise move for a District Manager Auqaf (BS 16- soon to be upgraded) to join IB at BS 17 ? I am reading your comments and I know that Public Office holders are more respected in public domain instead of spy services, which have their own charm and attraction for the candidates

Those who want to join IB the they should join. Why dragging sir @imbindas in every comment. He has stated the truth and if it is very difficult for you to comprehend you should not resort to personal attacks.
All patriotism and enthusiasm goes down the drain when one has to face the reality. That is why many have left higher grade jobs of just face value to join other departments at lower grades and are having more respectable income and peace of mind. Quote:

A friend of my Friend, was AD IB (who has now left and joined lecturer post), his brother car was stolen, the police SHO refused to lodge an FIR, when AD IB sent his brother to police station, My friend called me that please help him out but he requested me that you should pretend that you don't know that he is IB employee, because it would be a great matter of shame for him that SHO is not entertaining him. I called SHO from our official number, not only he entertained the complaint but also serve His (AD IB) brother biscuit and tea
But i insist, he had a govt bike, 80 liters petrol allowed for month.

i am very sad to see the level of discussion on this thread . i normally remain inactive on this forum but i am compelled to share my views here . Here the discussion is going in between monetary terms that where one can become millionaire . i dont blame anyone of you as it has become the order of the day where one can earn as much money as one can through legal or illegal means. I personally feel that those who are jobless should join it instantly as beggars cant be choosers . on the other hand , those who are already doing a job in government departments they should ponder over their priorities as most of the candidates would be above 25 and one is mature enough at this age to take independent decisions . IB is a prestigious organization and has a social recognition in our society .If one is best at maneuvering , he can have Contacts with Ministers and chief ministers . There are hurdles in every job at the start so one should never be expecting a luxurious life the moment he joins it .

My experience with an AD-IB
During my posting in one of the Southern Districts of KPK, I had the opportunity to meet with the respective AD-IB regularly. Once he visited my office for collecting some data. I asked him about the J.D of AD-IB. We had a lengthy discussion which he concluded with these remarks: " Bachay Allah nay app ko bohot ezat waly nokri de hay, Saray log atay hain ap ke pass. Aur app logon ke bohot khidmat kar sakty ho". He also pointed out that if you are selected in I.B then use it as a launching pad for CSS and don't stick to it forever.
For the one who says that certain departments are corrupt while others ain't, I would repeat my oft narrated saying: Jis nay chorey karni hotey hay wo masjid ke chanday may sa be chori karey ga. Aur jis na nahi karni wo sonay ka pahar sa be chori nahi karega. And with this message I say good bye to the boring discussion. Positive and realistic comments would be responded. Regards.

Every person has his priorities and every department/organisation has its pros and cons. I have some friends in IB who are more than happy and satisfied. There are some who are ready to exit for posts having more PR. Intelligence job needs a mindset and if one has that then the perks and privileges are secondary. Moreover, one should consider one's aptitude for a post. Monetary benefits are not of that much significance. The prestige and respect in society is more significant. I request the moderators to delete this thread. Regards!! Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Fresh AD IB will get 55 thousand plus, its take home salary after deductions, its 1000% confirm, while a normal BS-17 officer draws 38 thousand approximately... so not bad guys don't worry.
