assalam-0-alaikum to all my friends,
I see that the issue regarding meager salary is not being faced solely by OMG or any other services group but it is the phenomena of this fortunate Country to acquire first class to pay third class.

Yahan k log b khoob insaaf kiya krty hain,
mazdoor ko ujrat me mu'aafi diya krty hain.........

An other discrimination strikes me is unmatched pay & privileges of government officials of several departments in the same Country.

So, you are not belong to OMG, DMG or else but to rule the departments, ministries, organizations, institutions and the Pakistan, ultimately. If you are at low salary or encountering some discrimination then change the precedent of this unjust system because you learned that nothing is impossible. You have knowledge, experience, commitment, stamina, patience, time but the thing utmost you need is UNITY. Resolve your queries, dissolve your differences of opinion. Be unified & rule well........

Well, I think each group has its positives and negatives. But if you cant meet your basic needs, that is the point where trouble rises.

Two of my senior doctors in FAISALABAD DHQ left OMG , for this particular reason .
I asked one of them ,who is working as a post graduate trainee in orthopaedics ward ,
why he left a career in bureaucracy .He said that if you are preparing for CSS , just join the top groups , or continue with medicine .
The difference between various allocation groups is just a meagre one , some OMG officers might be more competent than DMG officers , but unfortunately that's how things work here .

An offical car is available but accommodation is the big problem. Hiring is around 20,000. So, in the end you will have to pay form your own pocket because the house rents are far more than the hiring.
While in service you apply for the hiring facility. Your house will be checked by the officials to confirm whether it has the required covered area for your grade.
Thats it.
what you mentioned its exactly right, I am serving in education department in grade 17 we have 14,000 hiring, and really Islamabad is expensive city, you can't get any good house at this rent.

Yes brother , you should join OMG only if you have come a long way from Medical line, if you can still do Part 1 or MD then you should consider this point.
Successful doctors are second to none in our society , and an "honest "OMG officer can never equal a cardiologist or a paediatric surgeon etc.
you may still join and consider improving your , merit in the next attempt.

Kyun dara rahay ho bhai? Well, keeping in mind my current job, I think OMG would be better . I seem to have already seen the worst.

I have already taken my 2nd (and last) attempt and quite hopeful . But I think OMG is a good group. Except for the expected environment at work, now I am not much bothered with these factors after seeing realistic replies to my queries.

I am Mechanical Engineer and now getting twice of what I shall get in OMG.But the thought of preferring current job to OMG never surfaced in my mind.I left a promising career in Oil and Gas sector just for CSS.My friends are getting paid in six figures in Gulf.Even then I think that I am far better than them.Rest shall be decided by Providence. The most important factor is individual's contentment and satisfaction. :-)
