seniors plz tell whether OMG iz better than dentistry or not ...I have been selected in OMG and still in a fix what to do and wht not to?

Avoid regular use of "Netspeak" or other "cute" grammar or spelling (For example: writing "R U a woman?" instead of "Are You a woman?").

Dentist can earn a lot with a small investment like 2 million rupees.
You can join and still decide , no one is going to deprive you of your degree.

well i have decided to defer the training and i will reappear in ce 2014. plus i will do fcps as well :-)

It varies from person to person. I believe Dentistry can be pursued on a part time basis too. Moreover, Dentistry may not offer the same exposure as OMG can. Both have their own pros and cons.

Helloz all,

I am in a similar fix. I got allocated in OMG and everyone knows about the perks of OMG officers. Very meager salary and posting in most expensive city of the country. Currently i am working in a giant multinational org and drawing a salary in 6 digits. Official car is expectrd in next few months. Now i am in two minda whether to join csa or not? If i join then i will have to forgo 1 lac per month. Moreover css 2012 was my first and last attempt as my age does not permit me to reappear.

Seniors.....
Plz guide...

Salary in all groups except police, customs and income tax is the same. u guys are worried about salary in omg? an FSP also gets the same salary. But don't just go for the salary. There are other positives as well. OMG officers can be posted in any ministry/division/attached department/autonomous body and get good salaries as well. i'm posted in an autonomous body and getting a salary in 6 figures even in grade 17. similarly, omg has the maximum chances of foreign tours after FSP. In a service of 3 and a half years, i have visited 8 countries. What else do u need guys???

It all depends on a positive frame of mind and hard work.
