Can anybody explain what does Master's (Compensatory) mans. This was sent by metu that you are admitted for fall 2013 in master's (compensatory)

Since your ultimate goal is to get a PhD, for that the university requires you to complete masters first as a compensation of the lag for PhD eligibility. I guess that might be the reason they called it compensatory.

One of my friends got admission in ITU.
If any of the forum members have some friends already studying in ITU, kinldy share his/her contact info, so that my friend can discuss some matters related ot ITU

I talked at HEC to Mr. Jamshaid. He told me few things that I am summarizing it as under:
1) there are approx 400 seats.
2) 100 candidates under engineering have been informed.
3) Social Science (included Bus-Admin) candidates will be intimated after Eid.
4) The late is due to the fact that all Admissions are closed right now so there is no benefit for student rather candidates will create problems for HEC by posing queries.

So my request to all is to stay Calm and Pray to Allah. And (Bus-admin/Social Sciences candidates should) abandon all hopes to get admission this year.

Default Any update about shortlisted UESTP/HRDI scholarship students
Guys i have been shortlisted for HRDI/UESTP scholarship of HEC in Engineering category.
First they have included the countries of Germany and Italy for me in the list of the countries, but later on they said that they have excluded the option of Germany and Italy for MS leading to Phd students.
Now i have options of
korea
turkey
china.

1. i want to know why they have excluded the option of Germany and Italy?
2. What will be the next step of HEC for further shortlisting?
3. Which country should i opt among above three?

1. They have excluded Option of Germany and Italy because these are costly countries and the people who are already doing Ms leading to PhD in these countries taking more than 6 years to complete MS+PhD. But Maximum Duration for MS+PhD defined by HEC for funding is 5 Years.
2. Next step will be getting admission in the universities told by HEC.
3. Korea and Turkey are good option. some people prefer Turkey over Korea and vice versa. for Me Turkey is better option.

Refer to China Scholarship Council website. Universities listed at CSC website are acceptable to HEC

No not all universities on CSC website are acceptable by HEC.
for 90% overseas scholarship batch 4 i have seen that HEC has told to get admission in Top 50 World ranked Universities of China in that only 2 universities were included i.e. Peking University and Tsinghua University but for this scholarship the range of universities may be more than that and may be HEC accept admission in top 500 universities as the universities from other countries in HEC panel are among Top 500 ranking.
