Employee gets other perks and benefits after he/she gets permanent employee. Medical Insurance, Gratutiy Fund, Provident Fund etc. would be given after one year. (Atleast thats what i think)

Default TCS Salary Confusion

According My Friend who is BDO in TCS and joined TCS 6 months ago..saying Basic salary will be 20,000 and then there will be allowances...secondly when you hire as an MTO, you are permanent from day 1

Yup! MTO is considered permanent, only in contractual and permanent Employee sense, during the training period an employee is on PROBATION Period, which is a separate thing. & an employee is not liable to have suck perks like insurance and gratuity fund during probation period

Well I was thinking to ask you one question that if you know something from inside TCS or just guessing about it?

Nop! No inside Source! It was just my hunch. But That's exactly how employee packages are designed in reputed companies. Having a Provident fund means, a particular amount would be deducted from the employee's salary every month and the same amount would be contributed by the employer and then the sum of both amounts would be invested with some mutual fund. If the companies start doing this with employees (New Employees) on probation... HR will get into a lot of trouble (work load) bcz an employee in probation period could resign anytime he/she wants to without giving any notice period. & it takes time to clear provident funds and insurance policies.
