ہم آواز الفاظ کو قافیہ کہا جاتا ہے ۔ اوپر کے اشعار میں ' کرنے کو ردیف ہے قافیہ نہیں ۔ ۔ اور نیچے کے اشعار میں صرف ناراض ،دراز قافیہ ہے ۔ ۔ کرے ردیف ہے ۔ شعر میں بار بار دہرایا جانے والا آخر کا لفظ ردیف کہلاتا ہے ۔

مثال کے طور پر ؛

چپکے چپکے رات دن آنسو بہانا یاد ہے

ہم کو اب تک عاشقی کا وہ زمانہ یاد ہے

اس شعر میں بہانا ،زمانہ قافیہ ہے ۔ ۔ ۔یاد ہے ۔ ۔یاد ہے ۔ ۔ردیف ہے ۔

کال فور چینج اور ثمینہ امید ہے اب آپ سمجھ گئ ہوں گی ۔

کس کتاب میں یہ مثال دی گئ ہے ؟ مجھے حیرت ہے کہ اتنی بڑی غلطی کیسے کر دی انہوں نے ۔اس مثال میں نام اور تمام قافیہ ہے ۔ اور اقدس مجھے بالکل سو فیصد یقین ہے کہ میرا جواب درست ہے کیوں کہ میں شاعری ہی نہیں کر سکتی اگر مجھے قافیہ ردیف کا ہی نہ پتا پو ۔سکول کے زمانے سے رٹی ہوئ ہیں یہ چیزیں

Unsure is liay k k k...mama laughed too much after listening my poetry.
When i said comeon mama you know Farah zafar appreciated my effort,she is going to publish her book...Farah zafar mama..the future poetess
